I just love this time of year! The days haven't been too terribly hot and actually have had a few breezes lately. I went for a quick walk out back and around the house looking at how my plants were doing and just love how some of them like the pansies are just hanging in there. I figured they would have been finished by now but they aren't. I keep waiting for them to stop blooming and get some replacement flowers for the summer. I did however get a rosemary plant and started some other herb seeds. I ended up planting parsley, thyme, & oregano. I have never started an herb plant from seed so will have to see how I do with that! Walking down the trail past my neighbors yard I'm just in awe at how beautiful it is with the birdbath and rocks placed just so to create a beautiful border. I need to take some lessons from them!
I've been working on a felt ornament that I bought over at Alicia Paulsons (Posie Gets Cozy) and I didn't transfer the one side but did for the other. It's been ages since I did needlework and it's turning out really cute! My assistant has been busy keeping my place warm and looks like she wants to get in a bit of stitching herself.
That is how the week has been. The family and I will be heading the Charlestown tomorrow for the weekend and I can't wait! Looking so forward to getting away just for a short weekend trip. Next week is number 5 of 6 chemos so guess this will get me in a good frame of mind to get prepared for that.
Thanks for dropping by my little corner of blogland~

Hi Barbara,
looks like you had a nice turn about your yard and neighborhood. And your stitching is great! So is your helper. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Charleston. We went down to Athens and moved my daughter that is in college.
It was a very hot weekend for that. I hope you do well this week with your treatment. Take care xo jan

I wish my garden looks so weed free.lol Too many hobbies I think. ;) A lovely bit of embroidery. Best wishes with the chemo, my MIL took treatments for breast cancer and her doctor told her to drink plenty of orange juice to boost her immune system.
