Happy Mothers Day! I had a rough start to the week but am feeling so much better now. I picked up this chair in Murphy N.C. two weekends ago and just was able to make my perfect cozy corner there. I gave it a good test drive last night and even this morning and it is just the most cozy little corner and it's all mine :). I stitched and stitched on the stocking and am making some very good progress on it.
I have my table to keep my ORT jar as well as a good place to lay my project down when I have need to stop working on it. Also makes for a great place to spread out the fabric and take in all of that color don't you think?
Another thing I ended up working on was setting up a coupon and weekly ad binder for smart couponing which I've never done in my life but decided I'd give it a go. Now I'm not one of those extreme couponer ladies because I can't bring myself up to just buy stuff to save money on it. I collect coupons on only those items that I know I will use. Now I will start stocking up on somethings but you won't find 10 of them in my house no. I'm not crazy. I'm starting with just 2-3 of the items. I think I can make that work. One thing I looked at was items that I love dearly like my jam. I actually went out to the manufacturers website and wouldn't you know there was a coupon for it. Now in the past I would by it whether it was on sale or not. I liked it therefore I bought it. So you see I'm just adding just a bit into the thought of this couponing and seeing if I can make it work just right for my house.
You remember those strawberries Steve and Anna picked here? Those sweet and juicy berries! I ended up making some of the best home made ice cream I've had in a long time and didn't end up using a churn. It was the best!
That's been my week in a nutshell. I'm planning on taking the day and working more on my cross stitch stocking and see how close to finished I can get it.
Take care xoxo
